The Kick-off Meeting of NESTOR project wrapped up successfully with participants from 13 countries all over Europe on the 5th of November 2021. During the meeting, the NESTOR partners had an opportunity to meet each other, albeit virtually due to the limitations of hosting a physical meeting due to the pandemic, and presented their involvement and expected workings on the project. The Partners were introduced to the project’s fundamental aspects as well as the various work packages, and they addressed the importance of collaboration in achieving an outstanding final result. The meeting also included an introduction by the Project’s EC Officer, as well as an opportunity for partners to mingle with members of the EC.
The relevant partners offered dedicated workshops and presentations on the technological breakthroughs to be accomplished over the project’s lifetime, and detailed descriptions were provided.
The meeting provided partners with an opportunity to interact with the project consortium and participate in open discussions centered on the project’s main goal: to develop a fully functional next-generation holistic border-surveillance system to intelligently safeguard the European borders.
